Installing Christmas lights in Slough & Langley

Powercor have again been successful this year in installing the festive Christmas Street lighting to both Slough High Street and Langley High Street.

This is a specialist job which entails a trained crew using high level working platforms / IPAF as well as full training been given by the Highway Agency to operate in a safe manner for both our staff and the general public.

Our contract has been awarded by LITE Ltd in Lancashire following our successful install last year.

The installation includes providing full details of our operative, IPAF Licenses, Insurances and full PPE including harnesses as well as vehicle registrations been given to the authorities for full access to all areas. The installing consist of bolting the lighting fixtures to designated lamp posts within the Slough and Langley area with the correct colour co-ordination LED features, and then been operated by high level commando sockets which are fed from distribution boards within the lamp posts.

The works have to be carried out during the night to avoid disruption to traffic, pedestrians and usually take approximately 3 nights. Our crew test each one as they install and then leave them switched off until the grand switch on by a special guest on the 26th November.

As well as owning our own Cherry Picker, all our engineers are trained to use it and have the expertise to ensure your Christmas Lights, however large or small are perfectly installed
